Meet Cheyenne
student midwife, birth assistant

Hi, I'm Cheyenne! I have been very blessed to grow up in a family where I was taught to trust my intuition and the body’s divine design. With that strong foundation, I pursued Massage Therapy school to learn more about healing & wellness. It was there that I was first introduced to physiological birth! I found myself inspired, and shortly after graduating and becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, I decided to start my birthwork journey. I began by specializing in Prenatal massage & Craniosacral therapy for infants and began training to become a Doula. During this time, I was going through my own journey of infertility and took the opportunity to learn all I could about women’s health, conception, pregnancy, and birth. I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in 2024 right in the comfort of home! The experience was riveting and shortly after, I made the decision to begin my studies as a student midwife. It truly is the greatest honor to be doing this sacred work and serving families during such an extraordinary time in their lives!
Cheyenne Farmer is the newest member of the Chava Birth team, and it didn’t take long for us to know she belonged here. From the very first birth she attended with us, we fell in love with the warmth, calm, and genuine care she brings into the birth space.
Cheyenne is an assist student midwife and is still early in her midwifery training, learning through hands on experience alongside our team. She participates in prenatal, birth, and postpartum care while continuing to build her knowledge and skills under supervision.
Her own journey into motherhood helped shape her interest in midwifery. Cheyenne welcomed her first baby at home, giving her a personal understanding of what it can feel like to prepare for a home birth the very first time. She leans into her own experiences, and is incredible at supporting first time moms, helping them feel informed, capable, and cared for as they navigate something that is completely new to them. She also works as a massage therapist, and her experience caring for people through bodywork brings another layer of knowledge and intuition to the way she supports families.
We are so lucky to have Cheyenne growing and learning with us at Chava Birth and can’t wait to see where her journey in midwifery takes her.
