Meet Jordan

Hi, I'm Jordan! For as long as I can remember I have wanted to take care of people and after nannying for a family who had had multiple home births I became fascinated and knew instantly that’s what I wanted to do with my life.
After working as a special education teacher for years, I had the opportunity to step into the birth world and took a doula training in 2023 which quickly lead to a desire to become a student midwife.
After learning under several different midwives and practices, I joined the Chava Birth team in 2025. I completed my training requirements in early 2026 and the plan is to be certified and licensed by the end of the year. I fully believe in autonomous care and women’s rights to make their own choices regarding her body and her baby.
Jordan Gannuscio is a direct entry midwife, doula, and placenta specialist whose passion for midwifery comes from a genuine love of caring for people and supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She brings a calm, compassionate presence to the birth space and believes deeply in providing individualized care that helps families feel informed, supported, and confident in their choices.
Jordan joined Chava Birth as a student in 2025 while in the final phases of her clinical training and quickly became an important part of our team. She completed her training in early 2026, and somewhere along the way it became pretty clear to us that we weren’t ready to let her go. We love working alongside her so much that she officially joined us as a second midwife and began taking clients of her own within the practice.
With Jordan joining the team, Chava Birth has been able to expand our service area and offer home birth care to more families throughout Utah County and Tooele County. She provides care for her own clients within Chava Birth while also working collaboratively with the rest of our team, allowing us to maintain the personal, relationship based care that is so important to our practice. Jordan is currently practicing as a DEM and plans to be licensed and credentialed by the end of 2026. We are incredibly grateful that her path brought her to Chava and excited to have her continuing to grow as a midwife as part of our team.
